Michael

Death took Michael today, and myself, in a way.
I've heard it said that when you die,
You go to wherever you believe you'll go.
I don't know where I'll go, probably somewhere grey and drab,
Somewhere that has an identity problem,
Needs a religion to exist, but has none.
I hope I don't have to go to Heaven,
There are Christians there, evangelists even!
I hope I don't have to go to Hell,
There are Christians there as well!

I've decided. When I go, I'll follow Michael,
Go wherever he has gone, go laughing, go gladly,
Go with grace, go with honour, go with love.

Goodbye, Michael...
