Walking On

I passed you in the crowd the other day
I didn't see you but I felt your presence
I didn't look because I knew your smile
Never reached out to touch you because your touch still lingered
Couldn't cry out your name
You stole that from my lips when you loved me last

Old Friends, New Friends, Best Friends, Lovers

We gathered together
And spoke of no one
But ourselves
Old friends as usual

We met briefly for a few moments
Uncertain about what to say
Without becoming further strangers
New friends at last

You stood behind me
And I felt your strength
Give me new life
Best friends as always

Life is ours
In our hands to hold
In our hearts to beat
Lovers forever
