REALITY

  Hunger and staggered walk
  Crutches and kips
To make a simple day hard
  To meet schedules blindly
Have to be done, have to be done
  To pass, to pass
Even to sit you have to be there

KABOOM

You never learn do you ?

There was bounty in them words
  Golden dreams turned to shit
  All gone to dust

  "They were only dreams"

  They were golden dreams
Dreams to set the world alight
Dreams to savour, dreams to soar
Dreams of things most people don't have
  And maybe never will

  "The mortgage isn't paid DREAMER!"

SEPARATE

Separate but complete she stood amidst the litter
Of budding, burst and fallen fruit
Pipped at the post she stooped and collected 'stones'
To make that peace offering with many hours' work
Occasional savage kicks with an affronted foot

He chose her over me - the swine

All because --- ah shit ---- I still shouldn't have
Scratched his stupid car - let his tyres down or cut his upholstery
I hope they are happy and have many children
 Perhaps she can't have children?

She will! - I bet she will even be a good mother
