Fall (from Grace)

Play on new words discovered again
partner in law though not streetwise legal
lay high mistakes on the same error plane
bestride wide wings, legs spread like eagles
bald and besotted, unleashed and unfurled
brain split to infinity; carrion cursed
full fallow, full fallow and yet barely curled
hair ties in a coffin, unruly rehearsed . . .

The random hours of faulty flowers
where time backtracked their stamens
have pealed the tolls of drunken roles
forsaking choirs of amens:
spirits' falls from towering walls
long forgetting reason
turned from the face of eternal grace
defiance defining treason.
